Another great Mad March Hare event!

The 3rd Mad March Hare event took place on Sunday 7th March 2010 with 720 entrants taking part and 80 volunteers helping out.

All the runners and walkers completed either a 5km or 10km route from Greendown School around Lydiard Park. There were people in fancy dress including one lady in a March Hare costume and lots of people wearing bunny ears.

“We couldn’t have asked for better day” said Mandy Martin of the Organising Team. “The atmosphere was amazing and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We have big plans for the Mad March Hare event in the future and we hope they will spread the word and come back to take part and help out next year.”

The organising team would like to extend a massive thank you to everybody who has taken part in the event... to all of our entrants and all of our volunteers who did an amazing job and helped the event run smoothly, to Hender and the Muevete Fitness team who did a great warm-up routine at the start of each event and to everybody else who has helped in whatever way to make the event a success.

The Mad March Hare event supports the Breakthrough Breast Cancer – Wiltshire group and has raised £5,500 so far on application fees alone. Sponsorship money has started coming in and this total is increasing daily - if you haven’t sent your sponsorship money in yet, please do so as soon as possible, so we can announce a grand total in the coming months.
