Bristol: So, there’s this group of nine alleged pro-Palestine protesters who are saying they didn’t break into an Elbit Systems site. They’re accused of causing a whopping £1 million in damage with sledgehammers. This all went down last August 6, and it’s been quite the story.

The defendants showed up via video link from various jails, just to confirm who they are. They all pleaded not guilty to some serious charges, including aggravated burglary and criminal damage. It’s a big deal, for sure.

Among them are folks from all over, like Charlotte Head and Jordan Devlin from Hackney, and even someone from Edinburgh. It’s a mixed bag of people, really. One guy, Samuel Corner, even denied a charge of causing harm to a police sergeant. Seems like there’s a lot going on here.

In court, the prosecutor wanted to combine the cases, but they decided to split them into three separate trials. The first one is set for November 17 at Woolwich Crown Court, so that’s coming up soon.

Outside the court, there were some loud pro-Palestine protesters making their voices heard before the hearing started. It’s clear this issue is sparking a lot of passion and debate.

More defendants appeared via video link, and it looks like there’s still a lot to unfold. Another plea hearing is already scheduled for May 2, so this story isn’t over yet.
