This is Cheryl Williams’ Story
As some of you all know I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in Sept 2019 and I finished my treatment in Jan 2021. It was very lucky that they caught the disease in its early stages and I went on to have the best possible treatment available to me which resulted in me getting the news in Jan that there was no evidence of disease.
Having had 15 months of intense treatment has taken its toll on me but I wanted to do something to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. I would love to be able to raise as much as I can for a charity that supported me through what has been the hardest months of my life. So I registered to do the Mad March Hare 5km walk on 21st March with my hubby Geoff and my son Morgan who will be supporting me on the walk. Although 5km doesn’t sound much (and it isn’t to some people), I have not been able to walk this far since my treatment started so it will definitely be a challenge!.
I would be so grateful if you could spare whatever you can to sponsor me and raise money for this amazing cause.
Thank you all so much.

This morning, Cheryl posted abut this fantastic achievement on the Mad March Hare Facebook page
Hi there, I posted on your time line this morning with our details of our 5.8km walk. It would mean the world to me if you could put this on your page. It’s exactly 1 year and 1 day since I had my surgery to remove what was left of my breast cancer and 3 months since I finished my breast cancer treatment. I have raised just over £800 and my employer Legal and General will match itCheryl Williams
Naturally we are happy to post about this fantastic achievement.
