A popular charity shop in Stafford has expanded, offering even more bargains. Shoppers can enjoy a special discount today as the store celebrates its 35th anniversary.

Stafford: A revamped charity shop just reopened, and folks are excited. Katharine House Hospice claims it’s the biggest charity shop around. Shoppers lined up for the grand reopening.
The Mayor of Stafford, Councillor Frank James, cut the ribbon today. Shoppers were thrilled to head back inside. Plus, they’re enjoying a 35% discount to celebrate the hospice’s 35th anniversary.
This shop opened in 2008 and has raised nearly £6 million for care costs. It’s run by 12 staff members and 13 volunteers who put in about 100 hours a week. The store has expanded into the next-door unit, now covering 19,000 square feet.
Estelle Hayward, the shop manager, shared how this expansion helps everyone. It makes life easier for shoppers and those donating. The retail operation funds specialist care for families facing incurable diseases.
The new area will process donations, freeing up space for more retail sales. Estelle mentioned they can now accept even more donations, which means more funds for free expert care in Stafford and nearby areas.
Simon Dodd, the retail general manager, highlighted the hospice’s impact since 1989. They’ve cared for over 30,000 patients and their families. Every donation and purchase helps keep this vital care going.
Don’t miss out! The 35% discount is available until the shop closes at 4:45 PM today.
Katharine House Hospice supports people with cancer and other serious conditions. They also have stores in several nearby towns, including Hanley and Cannock.
