Exciting events are on the horizon for Stone, Staffordshire. Get ready for a floating market and delicious street food Fridays starting this May!

Stone: The new year is just kicking off, but Stone is buzzing with plans. Residents and visitors can mark their calendars for some fun events in 2025.
Stone Town Council and the Traders’ Group are gearing up for a variety of celebrations. Expect food festivals, music events, and special anniversaries to be highlighted.
In the past, they celebrated VE Day in May. This year, they’re switching gears to focus on the Food and Drink Festival at Westbridge Park, right after May 8.
They’ll also honor the 80th anniversary of VJ Day in August. It’s a chance to remember the sacrifices made in the Far East.
On May 8, they’ll still raise a flag and light a beacon to commemorate VE Day. Councillor Jim Davies emphasized the importance of remembering VJ Day too.
He mentioned how many locals feel it’s a story worth telling. The new Heritage Centre, opened last year, will help share Stone’s history.
Councillor Jill Hood is excited about the floating market returning in May. She believes it will attract new visitors to the town.
Stone’s traders are also planning monthly street food events and a Halloween festival. Plus, there’s a new day dedicated to showcasing emergency services for kids.
