Chris Dann raises an truly astonishing £602 Well done to Chris Dann who attends the Asda Coffee Morning in the store at Haydon in Swindon. Chris has raised over £600 in sponsorship for Breast Cancer Now by completing the Mad March Hare 5k/10k virtual race this week. The race usually takes place around Lydiard Park during March and participates can either Run, Jog or Walk around the 5k or 10k course. Due to Covid-19 the event in the last three years has been run virtually. What she wasn’t expecting was for the medal to be had delivered along with a little chocolate goodie! The Energetic Monday Walking Group at Coate Water Jacqueline, Daphne, Diane, Sylvia Karen, Mandy, Louise and Jane from the Monday Walking Group did the Virtual Mad March Hare 10k Saturday morning from Coate Water to the Three Trees and back. This Mad March Hare they are Splitting Hares! Carol Rose & Chris Gilliard, completed the 5K walk on the 12th March 2022. Their route involved Middleleaze, Shaw, Peatmoor and Nine Elms. As pictured they met up with friends at Peatmoor Lake, who egged them ondespite the rain! This was the first wet weather experience in the 13 years they have beencompleting this walk!! This is Cheryl Williams’ Story Hey everyone! As some of you all know I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in Sept 2019 and I finished my treatment in Jan 2021. It was very lucky that they caught the disease in its early stages and I went on to have the best possible treatment available to me which resulted in me getting the news in Jan that there was no evidence of disease.
