A 32-year-old football fan from Stoke-on-Trent has been charged after invading the pitch during a match. He was one of seven people arrested at the game between Middlesbrough and Sunderland.

He was one of seven fans taken into custody at the Riverside Stadium. The police had warned fans about causing any trouble. They made it clear that disorderly behavior wouldn’t be tolerated.
Ryan wasn’t alone; a 17-year-old from Billingham was also arrested. He’s facing charges for causing harassment and has been released on bail. A 26-year-old from Sunderland was summoned to court for similar reasons.
There were also arrests for common assault and throwing missiles. A 64-year-old man from Sunderland was arrested for actual bodily harm.
Before the match, Superintendent Marc Anderson reassured fans about safety. He mentioned working closely with Middlesbrough FC to keep everyone safe. Most fans just want to enjoy the game, but police were ready to act against any troublemakers.
