A recent court session in North Staffordshire saw ten defendants facing serious charges. From drug driving to burglary, the cases highlight ongoing crime issues in the area.

Adil Shah, 34, Hassan Shah, 30, and Kadan Whyte, 35, also admitted to stealing cannabis plants in Tunstall. They were involved in another burglary in Hanley just weeks later.
The Shah brothers, along with Adnan Shah, 44, were caught burgling a property in Stoke. They also faced charges for another burglary in Fenton.
In a separate case, drug-driver Grant Saville, 33, was banned from driving for 18 months after being caught on the A34. He had high levels of THC and cocaine in his system.
Meanwhile, Christopher Hall, 60, was found guilty of serious child sexual offences. He denied the charges but was convicted by a jury and will be sentenced soon.
Eighteen-year-old Bayley Hope admitted to multiple burglaries and will be sentenced shortly. Another youth is awaiting trial for similar charges.
Lastly, Stephen Haggard, 48, pleaded guilty to theft and possessing an axe. His trial for attempted robbery is coming up in May.
