Chris Dann raises an truly astonishing £602
Well done to Chris Dann who attends the Asda Coffee Morning in the store at Haydon in Swindon. Chris has raised over £600 in sponsorship for Breast Cancer Now by completing the Mad March Hare 5k/10k virtual race this week.
The race usually takes place around Lydiard Park during March and participates can either Run, Jog or Walk around the 5k or 10k course. Due to Covid-19 the event in the last three years has been run virtually.
However, Chris went above and beyond to raise much needed extra funds and was supported enthusiastically by the Asda stores Wednesday morning coffee group. Chris came to this morning’s coffee meeting proudly showing his medal delivered to him.
Chris has agreed that we could reprint his below:
This is my story.
A coffee group that I attended at Asda was visited by a lady from Mad March Hare. The person who is involved with community for Asda (Jane Atkin, Community Champion), put me forward as she knows l would willingly do anything for that charity.
My daughter had three operation for breast cancer. Still ongoing, but thankfully the results are good.
So thanks again, I will certainly have a look on your website for future events.Chris Dann
A big thank to all of you from all the Team at Mad March Hare HQ – well done!
