She and her co-host, Roger Johnson, shared that the UK economy only grew by 0.1 percent in November. It was the first bit of growth in three months, but honestly, it’s not much to celebrate.

Pubs, restaurants, and IT services were doing well, though, which is a bit of a silver lining.
Ben pointed out that this growth figure is just an estimate and could change later. This news comes after the economy shrank a bit in September and October. Even with this tiny increase, there was no growth when comparing the three months leading up to November with the three months before that.
He also mentioned that this 0.1 percent growth comes at a tricky time. The lack of growth in the latter half of last year has made investors a bit wary about lending to the government. Sarah highlighted that businesses are worried about rising national insurance and minimum wage, which might be slowing things down.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves responded to the news, saying she’s committed to pushing for economic growth. She’s determined to make it a priority and plans to generate investment and cut waste in public spending. She emphasized that after years of stagnation, her mission is to get the economy moving again and help working people financially.
