Exciting news for a holiday park near Alton Towers! A planning inspector has approved the detailed plans, paving the way for a fantastic getaway destination.

Whiston: Plans for a huge holiday park are moving forward. Moneystone Park is set to have 250 lodges and fun facilities. It’s been a long journey since 2016 when they first got the green light.
Initially, the detailed plans for 190 lodges and a central hub were turned down. This hub will include a swimming pool, cinema, bowling alley, restaurant, and shop. But good news came when a planning inspector approved the plans after a public inquiry.
Now, they’re waiting on the second phase, which includes 60 more lodges. The developer, Laver Leisure, is thrilled about this progress. Peter Swallow, from the company, expressed his excitement over the inspector’s decision.
He mentioned that the plans are high-quality and fit well with local needs. Once completed, Moneystone Park will be a great spot for everyone. It’ll improve the local environment and bring economic benefits too.
Visitors can enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. Plus, those staying overnight will have access to local pubs and attractions. The project is also expected to create around 250 permanent jobs and 230 construction jobs.
Peter hopes this decision will speed up the next steps with the council. He’s eager to see the project finally take off and bring all its benefits to the area.
