Exciting new plans for a Stafford shop have emerged after last year’s proposal was turned down. The updated design aims to address previous concerns and enhance the town’s appeal.
The new proposal aims to fix those issues. The developers have cut the number of flats from seven to six. They’ve also made changes to the building’s front to better match the town’s style.
The design now includes traditional features, like stone heads and a classic shop front. They’ve even removed the third-floor terrace to keep privacy intact for nearby homes.
The developers want to create a welcoming facade on Eastgate Street. They’re also planning to make the retail space accessible for everyone. Since it’s in the town center, there won’t be any parking for cars. Instead, they encourage walking or cycling.
So far, two local residents have shown support for the new plans. One mentioned that updating buildings is essential for the town’s future. They believe that investing in Stafford’s high street is a step in the right direction.
