Bristol: Exciting news! Free dementia clinics are popping up at Cabot Circus for just three days. Starting tomorrow, January 14, and running until January 16, these clinics are a great opportunity for anyone affected by dementia.

Hosted by Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurses, the clinics will provide a safe and private space for discussions about dementia. It’s all about offering support to families and individuals who need it most.

You can book your spot through Dementia UK’s website. They’ll cover everything from memory worries to understanding diagnoses and even financial advice. This initiative is part of Nationwide’s Fairer Futures program, which tackles major social issues in the UK.

Nationwide is funding 30 specialist Admiral Nurse positions and hosting 200 pop-up clinics across the country. Ruby Guild from Dementia UK expressed excitement about returning to Bristol, emphasizing the importance of having a familiar location for support.

Before your appointment, Dementia UK has shared some helpful tips for discussing dementia with loved ones. It’s crucial to encourage them to see a GP if they show any signs. Remember, someone develops dementia every three minutes in the UK, and getting a proper diagnosis can be tough.

So, if you or someone you know could benefit from this, don’t hesitate to check it out! The clinics will be at Unit SU50C, Cabot Circus, Bristol, BS1 3BD, on January 14, 15, and 16.
