In a major crackdown, police have arrested 200 people in Stoke-on-Trent. This effort targets serious crimes and aims to improve safety in the community.
They’re going after serious offenders like rapists and drug dealers. So far, 50 suspects have been charged, while others are out on bail or referred to youth services.
The city council is also stepping up. They’ve fined 32 fly-tippers and fixed 33 potholes. Plus, they’ve searched for weapons and closed four shops selling illegal cigarettes.
